Farewell, dear friend

Our thoughts are with the family of Randall Langenhoven, RMI Regional Manager and Associational Representative for the Western Cape of our sister Association, SAMBRA, at the sad time of his passing.
Randall Langenhoven

We are sadly reminded that life is often so fleeting. This month we were devastated to lose a gentleman, a friend, and a colleague of the RMI, Randall Langenhoven who sadly passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday 22 March.  Randall was the RMI Regional Manager and Associational Representative for the Western Cape of our sister Association, SAMBRA.

On behalf of everyone at MIWA, we extend our sincere condolences to his wife Merle, their children Glen, Taryn, and Robyn, and the rest of the Langenhoven family on the loss of their beloved Randall.

Randall joined SAMBRA in May 2016 as an Associational Representative and was then promoted to RMI Regional Manager in the Western Cape in 2020, ably managing both roles. We affectionately referred to Randall as Mr. On-it! Nothing was too much trouble for Randall and he often described his job as busy but rewarding.  In his capacity as Regional Manager, he represented both SAMBRA and the RMI, advising and assisting members with industry-related matters. This was a responsibility he did with enormous integrity, patience, and drive.

His support, warmth, friendship, compassion, and leadership have touched the lives of so many of us.  We are deeply grateful for his invaluable contribution which has been essential to the success of the organisation. He will be sorely missed and his passing has definitely left a void in his RMI and SAMBRA families.

Rest well, dear friend. Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
