It was an enormous honour, and privilege, for MIWA to be represented at Automechanika Frankfurt, which took place from 13-17 September at the Messe Frankfurt Exhibition Centre in Germany.
MIWA sent a delegation, including Dewald Ranft, Les McMaster, Andrea Bogner Botha, Jack Finn, Dhaya Naidoo and Pieter Niemand, to attend this prestigious industry event and learn all they could about trends in smart mobility. This was the theme of this year’s show, which was underscored by the sustainability of the automotive aftermarket sector.
Our attendance at the event proved immensely fruitful. The delegates took part in meaningful engagements with global stakeholders like HaynesPro, CLEPA, Schaeffler, Bosch and Tec Alliance, and met with members of the Global Right2Repair campaign in an extremely constructive gathering that allowed participants of the initiative from around the world to share their learnings, success, challenges and experiences.
Our team also visited the head office of online training platform provider Electude; an exciting experience which presented an excellent platform for discussing future opportunities for implementation in South Africa.
With 78 000 visitors attending the show, Automechanika was an outstanding success. Next year’s event has already been confirmed for 10-14 September 2024, and buzz around the show is mounting rapidly.
