MIWA’s commitment to training and upskilling our industry continues. Highlights of the past month include Teresa Spenser Higgs’ visit to Buffalo City College, where the MIWA Eastern Cape Vice-Chair met with trainers involved in the HWK/RMI project. Peter van Mosseveld and Abie Kriek also visited Buffalo City College John Knox Bokwe campus.
Later in the month, Peter hosted a facilitator training and networking workshop for lecturers from colleges in the Eastern Cape. The workshop was well attended with representation from East Cape Midlands, PE College, King Hintsa TVET College and King Sabata Dalindyebo TVET College, HWK and members from MIWA and ARA. There were a number of presentations throughout the evening on various topics including filters, grease traps, online training platforms, airbags, trade centre apprenticeship requirements and charging systems to name just a few.
