And the winner is…

Who won our exciting LAUNCH diagnostic scanner competition?

We’re excited to announce that the winner of our competition to win a LAUNCH diagnostic scanner is Jonathan Stanfley of JM Automotive in Bloemfontein

They win a game-changing scanner worth R44 275. With features like Android 10.1 operating system, 4GB memory, and 64GB storage, comprehensive OBD II diagnostics, read/clear DTCs, bi-directional control, remote diagnosis, live data streaming, and coding, this highly sophisticated technology is certain to improve efficiency and accuracy in your workshop. We hope you enjoy using it!

We had an excellent response to our competition which would not have been possible without the very generous sponsorship from Equiptech Automotive and Workshop Support Services.

The vast majority of modern vehicles are more computerised than ever before requiring workshops to undertake a complete diagnostic test on each vehicle as it comes into the workshop.  These tests scan components and a car’s integrated systems for errors or malfunctions before they become truly dangerous and a good diagnostic machine can be an invaluable addition to any workshop. We are delighted that Jonathan and his team will now have such an invaluable tool in his workshop.

Jonathan has been a MIWA member for the last year only and was ecstatic to hear he had won.

This is what our elated winner had to say:

We opened the workshop in January 2020. The first two months of opening the workshop were brilliant because we had a backlog of customers and were very busy. Then Covid happened. This was a major setback. My business partner left me and it was a struggle. I then had to start over and now I work with a partner, Willem Greeve. The two of us run this very small workshop and have recently become an accredited member of MIWA which has really benefited us.

I am really excited about winning this machine as it is really going to add value. It will shorten my diagnostic time, and as a result allow me to better assist our customers.

I’m at a loss for words. This is the first time I have ever won anything, and then to win something this big is really special. We have actually had such bad luck with theft at the workshop losing almost R100 000 worth of tools so this could not have come at a better time. Thank you MIWA and RMI!!!!

“And congratulations Jonathan to you again. We are so happy you persevered and proud you are a new MIWA member. We look forward to following your progress,” concludes Pieter Niemand.
