Motor Mech has gained a name as one of the most high-profile automotive shows in the country – which is why excitement is mounting as HTS Drostdy in Worcester prepares to host the first-ever Western Cape Motor Mech.
The show, which takes place on 9 March, gives automotive industry enthusiasts a taste of what it’s like to work in this challenging, fast-paced industry.
As with the other five shows MIWA has hosted in collaboration with technical schools around the country, the highlight of the Western Cape’s event will be Junior Motor Mech 2024, a competition that sees top mechanical technology automotive students pitting their skills against each other, hoping to make it to the top three.
Other must-sees include displays from MIWA workshops and dealerships, as well as local clubs and motor industry suppliers. There’s also a children’s area providing entertainment for younger visitors, and several lucky draws offering the chance to win great prizes.
Entry is R20 for adults; kids under 12 are free if accompanied by an adult.
