Meet RMI’s Training Advisors

Better skills equals better service equals happier customers – equals more business. Our new training advisors put this all within reach.

Exciting news! In our effort to ensure our members are able to provide the very best service, RMI has launched the Training Advisor Project – a step towards arming small businesses with tools for skills development.

The first three Training Advisors have been appointed and will be servicing the Gauteng region. Tsholofelo Phiri, Priscilla Maritz and Teshney Samuel are all highly qualified and have a special interest in skills development: Tsholofelo’s background is in training coordination, project management and skills development; while Priscilla is a registered psychometric and skills development facilitator who has more than 10 years’ experience in HR, training and development. Teshney, meanwhile, has a track record stretching back more than 20 years, with a special focus on corporate training and education.

These training advisors will be assessing the training needs of RMI members, and identifying areas for skills enhancement. They will also offer support and advice around learnerships, apprenticeships and skills programmes, ensuring that members comply with relevant legislation.

This is a particularly exciting development given the rapid pace of change in our industry, which places pressure on members to keep up with innovation. Ongoing skills development is the answer, allowing us to boost our effectiveness, improve the quality of our service and provide an all-round better customer service.
