Right to Repair Tier One sponsor: Bosch Service Training Academy

Every month, we introduce one of our Tier One Right to Repair sponsors. It’s currently the turn of the Bosch Service Training Academy.

Every month, we take a closer look at one of the Tier One Right to Repair sponsors. In this newsletter, the spotlight falls on Bosch Service Training Academy.

The impact of investing in vehicle maintenance workshop personnel training cannot be overstated. Firstly, it directly enhances productivity. Empowered with cutting-edge knowledge, technicians can efficiently diagnose and resolve issues, optimising the overall workflow in the workshop. Secondly, reduced comebacks are a natural consequence of well-trained personnel, as their expertise leads to more effective and long-lasting repairs.

Workshop owners who invest in training their personnel are better equipped to attract and retain customers, fostering trust and loyalty among car owners, creating a positive reputation for the workshop and the defining factor in the customer decision-making process.

The Bosch Service Training Academy (BSTA) offers more than courses, including essential subjects like customer relationship management (service advisor), electrical/electronics, gasoline, diesel, and the pioneering electrical vehicles induction (ev) course. Technicians are upskilled on the latest advancements in technical automotive technologies – workshop personnel can confidently address even the most intricate automotive challenges.

Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Africa recognises the need to equip workshops with state-of-the-art technical skills as a critical enabler to sustainably grow the automotive aftermarket industry in the continent,” says Yves Nono, Bosch Automotive Aftermarket Regional President.

The training programme caters to the busy schedules of technicians, with the option of attending online introduction courses lasting 60, 90, or 120 minutes, and formal face-to-face courses ranging from 1 to 4 days, depending on the subject matter. This flexibility enables technicians to balance their work commitments while pursuing further education, ensuring they remain at the top of their game.

The training provided by BSTA is available to all automotive workshops, aiming to raise the overall standard of vehicle servicing and repairs across the industry, ensuring that the entire automotive ecosystem benefits from well-trained technicians.
