MIWA-Daniel-Pienaar-Tiger-Festival-2023-header

Terrific times at Tiger Tech

Tiger Tech’s inaugural event proved a massive success, laying the foundation for future festivals.

The first Tiger Tech Fest, hosted at Dan Pienaar Technical High School in Kariega on 31 October, in collaboration with MIWA, proved a great success, paving the way for future events.

Highlights of the day included the informative stands hosted by RMI and MIWA associates, as well as the MIWA Motor Mech Competition, where DP learners were invited to challenge their own skills. First place went to matric learner Matthew Marais, whose prowess won him a toolbox donated by Midas Uitenhage.

Winner: Matthew Marais (centre) with Keenan Langeveldt (left) who took 2nd place and Clinton O’Neill (right) who was in 3rd place.

The day ended on a festive note: after the crowning of Mr and Miss Tiger Tech Fest, followed by live entertainment and lucky draws. The highly anticipated kick-off of the Rugby World Cup final ensured that the atmosphere inside the hall and beer tents was electric.

Kola du Toit, headmistress of Daniel Pienaar Technical High School, says it was a privilege to be part of the event, and promises that next year’s will be even bigger and better. Watch this space to learn of a surprise twist coming…
